sales content explicitly invites people in. content that sells is the shit that makes them trust you enough to say yes to that invitation.

when your offer isn’t selling despite posting “all the right things,” it’s because you’ve been taught to over-emphasize the former — but that’s the very LAST piece of the equation... and without trust, it’s useless.

There’s “sales content” and then there’s content that sells. BUT THEY'RE NOT THE SAME.

the ideas you keep talking yourself out of — the lifestyle shares, the random curiosities, the rabbit holes you’re going down in private but still holding back from showing in public — if you put half as much effort into sharing *those* things with your offer front-of-mind, YOU’D BE SELLING THAT SHIT NO PROBLEM.

but the minute the idea of offer-specific content enters the chat, our brain does this weird thing where it thinks every post has to convince people why they need what we’re selling. except, again — that’s a few too many steps ahead.

first, your posts need show people why you’re the one to lead them through it.

that’s what we’re doing in self serve.

all that content you wish you could be posting — if only it “made sense” with your sales strategy or had an “obvious” connection to your offer… that's where the trust gets built.

shares the theories that underpin your methods so they connect with how you think

starts conversations that invite dialogue so they feel involved

shows how to apply those methods before they invest so they can feel your impact

models theSE BELIEFS AND methods in the way you live your life

and all of these ideas stem from offer-specific content themes so you’re not just promoting a bunch of deliverables, you’re building trust through the values, beliefs, perspectives, and behaviours that shape the transformation you offer.

and before you ask — yes, you can join self-serve even if you’re new to business. even if your messaging isn’t nailed down. even if you’ve never followed a social media strategy up ‘til this point.

all you need to bring is an offer idea. together, we’ll do the rest.

social media isn’t just my primary sales channel — it’s my *only* sales channel.  so naturally, folks ask: which emails convert best? what posts create the most revenue? what actually gets people to click a link in stories?

but the answer is… I don’t know.
and more importantly: I don’t care.

because I don’t believe that’s how sales work.

we’ve become so obsessed with the final step — when someone clicks *buy* — that we don’t give enough credit to all of the conversations that added up to the moment they said yes. we look at whatever piece of content was the one they purchased from as if it holds some secret code about what motivates them… but it doesn’t. it’s just the final straw in a compounding of trust that’s lead them there over time.

yeah, it’s sexier to be able to say “when I write about this thing, people buy” but that’s reductive. when you’ve *been* sharing about something, for weeks, sometimes months, that’s what’s having the real impact.

LESS SEXY. MORE TRUE.

I can tell you what topics I’m known for.
I can tell you what transformations I’m trusted with.
I can tell you why, when I create offers around those two things, they start selling immediately.

but how about I do you one better and just teach you how to create the same for yourself?

In less than 3 years, my business brought in $1M from online sales alone.

but it’s not as simple as just posting something you find fascinating and the sales start rollin’ in.

when you’ve got a program to sell, or spots to fill, or [insert whatever sales goal you’ve got going on here] you still need to create with that concept at the centre.

that doesn’t mean the standard promotional run — benefits, transformation, problem awareness, blah blah — you already know that shit and the ROI has been lacklustre.

plus, they’re boring. let’s be real here.

instead, it means zeroing in on the styles of content that:

+ FEEL EXCITING FOR YOU TO DEVELOP
+ ARE AN EXPRESSION OF YOUR CREATIVITY
+ SHOW WHO YOU ARE BEYOND YOUR WORK

but/and/also, are connected to the offer itself.

when we narrow our focus this way, ideation becomes so easy. and from there, you can optimize for any platform you’re selling, building trust from *every* angle without sacrificing your inspiration or identity, in the process.

that’s what's happening in self serve.

if those dollars are proof of anything, it's that you can post what you want and still get clients.

cheers to reframing your relationship with sales content so you can have an even bigger impact without sacrificing your creative integrity.
