your hostess with the mostess

While you may know me as my nickname, The Content Queen, my actual name is Xanthe Appleyard. Some other titles I go by include: 

Public Relations Graduate, Creative Agency Founder, Content Marketing Strategist, Cute Food Brand Enthusiast, Helicopter Dog Mom, Amateur Bartender, Boutique Rental Host… 

But to that first point, it’s true – I’ve been creating content and managing social media for businesses since Instagram was invented. That was 13 years ago, by the way. I’ve learned a lot of things, but the most relevant one for this particular corner of the internet is this:

You can’t cheat, hack, outsmart, or frankly, keep up with, the algorithm. 

The good news? You CAN become an industry leader, community cultivator, and prolific, emboldened creator without it. 

My version of social media success doesn’t include viral videos, thousands of followers, trending sounds, or strict scheduling. It’s about community, relationships, ease, pleasure, and genuine excitement for showing up to share.
