
The French 75 Cocktail is a sparkling, gin-based classic that’s elegant, refreshing, and oozes old-world cool. We were delighted to stir up this lovely libation for our Parisian pal, Danielle Barich – a business consultant, creator, storyteller, and designer who joined us to chat for the latest installment of Cocktail Q&A: Expert Series.
The French 75 Cocktail
Ingredients
1.5 oz gin
0.5 oz fresh lime juice
1 tsp simple syrup
3 oz chilled champagne
Ice
Lemon twist, for garnish
Directions
- Add gin, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 15 to 20 seconds.
- Strain mixture into a champagne flute and top with champagne.
- Garnish with lemon twist.
- Sante, mes amis!
